OUR STORY
Strickland Brothers is named after the owner’s two sons, Tate and Beckett. We understand how important family is and that’s why we are dedicated to providing professional and quality services – to protect your vehicle and keep your family safe.
We aim to provide dependable services and quality products for a fair price in a friendly, honest and accommodating environment. We will never pressure you to buy any service or part, or recommend any service that is not immediately needed.
Our drive-thru bays allow our technicians to guide you in, so you can stay in your car and see the job done right – right before your eyes. No appointment is ever necessary. Plus, we will perform a free courtesy check with every oil change.
We take pride in providing our customers with fast and friendly oil change and preventative maintenance services.
The Strickland Brothers story
2012
Justin Strickland was working for Mark Agan as a Pit Tech. Justin wanted to own his own auto business so the pair partnered to purchase a full-service gas station in Welcome, NC. They sold snacks, pumped gas, and did anything they could to break even. While running the gas station, Justin dreamed of owning his own Lube Center.
Justin’s Grandfather ‘Paw Paw’ saw Justin’s dream being met with overwhelming rejection. He surprised Justin with a $35,000 check, which he received from taking out a loan against the family home, to help Justin open his first Quick Lube.
Justin and Mark opened their first facility in Greensboro, NC called Taterbugs (after Justin’s first son Tate). They sold the gas station to run Taterbugs full time. Soon after, they sold Taterbugs to acquire the capital to build a national brand
The first Strickland Brothers 10 Minute Oil Change opened in Thomasville. NC. now named after his two sons Tate & Beckett.

The second location opened in King, NC.
By the end of 2019 there were 13 total units.

2020
First franchise location opens.
Year closed out with 30 total locations.
Partnered with Princeton Equity Group to grow to over 60 locations by the end of 2021
2021
2022
Strickland Brothers and Trademark Car Wash joined to form Accelerated Brand, an aftermarket automotive company dedicated to providing the most comprehensive range of consumer and commercial automotive services. Strickland Brothers ended 2022 with over 135 units.
Ended the year with 227 locations.
